A good pernambuco bow by Johannes O. Paulus ( 1916 – ) from Markneukirchen. Johannes Paulus worked in the C. A. Schuster workshop ifrom 1930 until 1955 with a long pause due to WW II and set up his own workshop together with his father Otto Paulus 1955. He was also a member of the committee for the master examination in bow making ( Grünke et.al.: German Bow Makers 1945 – 2000 ). The stars on both sides of his stamp indicates the quality of the bow the best being three stars on both sides.
