Bows and violins for demanding players.
We have a large number of bows for violin, viola and a few for violoncello made by old masters. A large part of violin bows are from the first half of 20th century, when high grade Pernambuco still was readily available.
For each bow you can find the weight (W) and center of gravity (COG) giving some idea of the balance of the bow, which is actually more important than the weight. There is also a figure describing the elasticity (E) or stiffness of the stick. The only way however to choose a bow is by playing it with your own instrument and finding out how it works for you. There is a 30 days period to try and examine the bow or violin.
